Tasting Notes

😋4.2/5 - A nice blend of spices & fruit!

The taste of the gin is quite enjoyable and not at all easy to forget. It has a balanced fruity sweetness that provides an almost syrupy like taste, hints of the earl green tea are also apparent and create a nice mix of flavours making the gin taste spicy and sweet.

The gin leaves an aftertaste of blackberry along with hints of pepper this is due to the presence of clove and mild black pepper in it.

Overall the gin tasted good, we recommend this gin for the summer time.

Gin and Tonic

When drinking this gin in a G&T you will notice the immediate impact of the flavours becoming stronger and bubblier. We preferred this gin in a G&T as the blackcurrant and blackberry flavours seemed to come alive.

If you find the flavour of the gin to be strong we recommend for you to use the Fever Tree or Schweppes Indian Tonic Water as it dilutes the strength whilst keeping the flavours intact.

History of Gordon's Sloe

The distillery was built in Southwark, London in the year 1769 by the founder of Gordon’s Alexander Gordon. His passion for business and gin was starting to shape back then and was almost unmatchable.

The distillery has an abundance of clean water supply that was also high in quality because of the location. Soon he started off with the procedures of making a gin and kept on trying different recipes till he found the one that satisfied his needs as well as the taste.

He then mastered the art of making the gin and kept on making it better and better and raising its standards of quality. Soon enough the gin arose to popularity and was enjoyed by a huge number of people around the world.

At present, Gordon’s is a well-known brand and one of the best-selling gins around the world. It has been awarded many international gin prizes and awards and is also the winner of four Royal Warrants.

It has maintained the originality for its product for almost two hundred and fifty years and is presently used by a number of people in different ways. Some of them use it in the G&T mix whereas others prefer it with cocktails.

Gordon’s has been a classic gin with quite a character of its own and becoming the World’s favorite gin was not easy as it was earned with all the hard work and efficiency put in by its team members and all the staff over a period of time.

The gin bottle is made out of clear glass and is quite simple in design with a label of Gordon’s over it. It is highly appealing and is sure to impress all the customers.

The simplicity in the bottle design completely resembles the gin as well as the company that gives the most simple but astonishing products.
